Pineapple Leads by Example

We continuously raise funds and awareness as partners of the Canadian Cancer Society; a portion of all mortgages funded are donated to this cause on behalf of everyone involved. So far, as a company, we have raised over $1M to date. We know every one of us has the power to make a positive impact on the world and the people around us. It’s in our DNA. Make-A-Wish Canada

Make-A-Wish creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. This organization is on a quest to bring every eligible child’s wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child’s treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in Canada, and in more than 50 countries worldwide.

Since 1983, Make-A-Wish Canada has granted over 35,000 wishes across the country, over 1,000 last year alone.

To date, Pineapple, together with our partners, affiliates, and events, has raised over $15,000 for Make-A-Wish Canada.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation

The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation enables Future Care Now by raising funds that accelerate cancer research, education, and clinical care benefitting patients at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, across Canada, and around the world.

Organizational Goals:

  • Build Canada’s most respected charitable foundation where people want to give, work and volunteer
  • Strengthen the impact of donor funds in the fight against cancer at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and beyond
  • Develop and launch the largest fundraising campaign in our history to enable Future Care Now 

To date, Pineapple, together with our partners, affiliates, and events, has raised over $10,000 for The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation.

Habitat for Humanity Canada

Habitat for Humanity Canada envisions a world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.

This organization fosters and builds equity through affordable housing, by fully integrating diversity and inclusion into everything we do. Every individual involved with Habitat feels safe and encouraged to bring their whole selves to our mission and they know they are valued, heard and respected.

To date, Pineapple, together with our partners, affiliates, and events, has raised over $26,000 for Habitat for Humanity Canada.

Canadian Cancer Society

In trusted partnership with donors and volunteers, the Canadian Cancer Society improves the lives of all those affected by cancer through world-class research, transformative advocacy and compassionate support.

To date, Pineapple, together with our partners, affiliates, and events, has raised over $100,000 for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Mental Health Awareness – CAMH 

In May 2021, Pineapple launched our Mental Health Awareness campaign to raise funds for CAMH. 

By raising funds, we supported groundbreaking research and treatment for thousands of people living with mental illness, including addiction. The contributions we made will go a long way to shape the future of mental health.

We also hosted a virtual Children’s Mental Health Panel with our CEO, Shubha Dasgupta. It’s easier to raise strong children than fix broken adults. In this panel, we worked together to raise mental health with children. Shubha ran an informative panel where children spoke openly about their day-to-day lives and did a healing, 10-minute meditation yoga in the end.

Pineapple held a Week of Gratitude, where we provided our agents and team with “I’m grateful for” templates, and asked everyone to share on social media. The results were incredible and it was great to see the community come together and reflect on the things they are grateful for.

As our May Mental Health Month came to an end, we hosted a Mental Health in the Workplace Panel. Angie Kape, Shubha Dasgupta, Brennan Trenouth, and Dawn Lumsden spoke in the panel. We discussed personal stories, asked those hard questions, and left it open for everyone to share and relate at the end. There’s a lot of work to be done on this stigmatized subject, and we at Pineapple are proud to have such a supportive community of experienced agents, mentors, and leaders who support mental health.

To date, Pineapple, together with our partners, affiliates, and events, has raised over $2,250 for CAMH.
