Update: Google Makes a Deal on Bill C-18


As we reported last summer Meta (Facebook and Instagram) has removed all news posts from their feed. This week, Google announced that they made a deal with the Canadian government to pay 100M CAD into a fund to be exempt from Bill C-18. This will allow Google (the World's #1 search engine) to keep Canadian news available on its platform allowing Canadians to remain up-to-date on national news.
