We are pleased to share that our enhanced digital referral process for TD Protection Plans is now live!

Based on your valuable feedback, we designed a simplified process to make referring your customers to TD for their protection needs easier than ever, saving you valuable time and energy, and helping you build strong relationships with your customers every step of the way.

Pre-referral Stage

  • We have added new content into the TD Commitment Letter email confirmation that you currently receive with every deal, outlining our easy steps to follow to complete a referral.
  • To support your conversation, a simplified Summary of Coverage is now available with content addressing basic information and questions that customers may have about TD Protection Plans (TDPP)

Referral Stage

  • Our digital referral form is now located on the TD Mortgage Solutions (TDMS) portal in addition to the Broker Resource Centre page. No more paper forms or manual entry!
  • We have added a TD Protection Plans tab to the top navigation bar of the TDMS portal so you can conveniently access our resources.
  • Referring your customers to TD is a simple process that can take approximately 60 seconds and our TD specialists will take care of the rest to make sure your customers are well informed about their TD Protection Plan options.

Post-Referral Stage

Improved tracking of customer referrals through email updates, keeping you informed on the status of your referral.
Competitive compensation* – you can earn up to 20bps on successful referrals simply by referring your customers (10bps paid after 90 days and 10bps paid after 15 months).

* Note: Due to regulatory restrictions, a TD Protection Plan referral by a Broker operating under their Quebec license will not qualify for the Referral Fee for TD Protection Plans.

What your customers can expect

  • More choice for your customers – through our digital referral form, your customer can choose to be contacted by phone, email, or both.
  • If your customer selects phone, a TD specialist will call them within 2-5 business days to provide them with more information on their TD Protection Plan options
  • If your customer selects email, they will receive an email with additional details about their TD Protection Plan options, including a link to a webpage with useful resources as well as the option to apply online
  • If your customer selects both, they will receive an email confirming receipt of referral and notifying them that they will be contacted by a TD specialist within a few business days to provide them more information on their TD Protection Plan options.
  • Additional perks – TD Insurance has introduced a Home Insurance discount for customers who have a relationship with TD. For more information on the discount or to see if they qualify, customers can go online to tdinsurance.com or call 1-866-361-2311.
